Air Fryer Sourcing: A Buyer Comparison Guide

Distinguish single baskets, interchangeable glass pots and stacked dual baskets before comparing model specifications.

Compare actual model references on the same basis

The following values come from the model references in this catalog. They identify options for a quotation discussion, not guaranteed stock or approved production specifications. Do not combine a power rating from one version with the voltage of another.

KZG314.5LSingle basket with front digital controls. Supplier brochure lists 900W / 1400W as separate versions; request the selected nameplate.
BL-22021.5L / 4LOne removable heating head with two interchangeable pots. It is not two independently heated chambers. Supplier sheet lists 1500W.
VS-13995.6L + 5.6LTwo stacked baskets. Supplier sheet lists 2400W; confirm the electrical version and temperature range because supplier files differ.

Compare the cooking layout before the stated capacity

Air fryers that look similar in a catalog can have different basket arrangements and controls. Start by identifying the number of cooking spaces, how the pots are used and which parts are supplied. A headline capacity alone does not explain how the appliance fits a buyer's intended product range.

For example, the BL-2202 supplier reference describes one heating head with two interchangeable glass pots. This should not be presented as two independent cooking chambers. Stacked dual-basket references such as the VS-1399 series need their own confirmation of basket operation, controls and electrical configuration.

Keep catalog capacity and usable space separate

Ask the supplier what the capacity number represents and obtain dimensions for the cooking container where available. Two appliances with the same advertised volume may not offer the same arrangement for the buyer's intended food or accessory set. Establish a repeatable sample evaluation method instead of treating a capacity label as a performance test.

The current KZG31 and KZG61 supplier references list 4.5L and 8L respectively. These are model-specific catalog figures, not a claim that every version of a similarly shaped appliance has the same capacity. Keep the supplier model and revision next to each value in the comparison.

Confirm the actual electrical version

Voltage and power options shown across a brochure can refer to separate production versions. They should not be interpreted as a universal input rating for a single unit. Request the proposed nameplate information, frequency, plug and rated power for the version in the quotation.

When source files disagree, leave the field open until the supplier resolves it. The HIC-AF-9012DX materials in the current sourcing set contain conflicting power references, so its listing explicitly requires confirmation. A GY-2401 sample-list frequency also requires verification for the destination. Do not silently replace an unusual value with the number expected for that market.

Match photographs to controls and included parts

The VS-1399 family includes visibly different window and control-panel arrangements. Compare the exact suffix and photograph, not just the family number. Save the selected image alongside the order specification and ask for updated photographs if the supplier proposes another version.

Record whether trays, racks or additional pots are included in the offer. Ask how removable parts are cleaned and what the supplier instructions permit; do not infer dishwasher suitability from the material appearance. Review packaging protection for handles, glass components and removable accessories with the selected supplier.

Send a model-specific air fryer RFQ

A focused request lets the supplier respond to the intended configuration instead of substituting the nearest stock model. Shire can coordinate comparisons, samples and available documents with cooperating suppliers. Final electrical configuration, performance, certification scope, MOQ and lead time remain subject to confirmation.

  • List the exact model and the preferred basket arrangement.
  • State capacity per basket where more than one basket is involved.
  • Specify the destination electrical requirements for supplier confirmation.
  • List the included pots, trays, racks and packaging languages.
  • Ask for a representative sample and the relevant model-specific documentation.
